Is it possible to use two lines to do a single operation?
I have a line that looks like this:
// line of code
if(x > 0)
// write things
I'd like to be able to use another line that's kind of like a sentinel, for situations like:
// do things
else
// do other things
Is this possible? What syntax do I use?
I'm looking to do this to keep from having to use more lines than necessary. The duplicate post I found suggested using preprocessor, and some people were telling me that's only for including header files. But if you know of a way that I can do this with macros (with the same results) then that's also good.

You can do that using a ternary operator:
if (x > 0) {
} else {
}
or
That makes the code easier to read.
